MORE ABOUT OUR CLIENTS’ EXPERIENCES

Isabella & Figgy

“From our very first meet-and-greet call, Louis was incredibly kind and attentive. He listened closely to everything we shared about our pitbull Figgy, without a hint of dismissal, judgment, or drama. And when we met him in person for our first training session, he somehow managed to be even kinder. Louis showed us exactly what to do with Figgy, praised the hard work we’d already put in, and—this part blew us away—communicated with our dog in a way we’d never seen before. Figgy listened to him. He responded. He did the things Louis asked him to do, and you could tell it wasn’t out of fear or pressure. It was all respect and connection. We’ve only had two sessions so far (with at least nine more planned!) and already, Figgy has gone from being too scared to leave the house to going to the park four times. He now knows how to settle with us in the evenings and even understands how to end playtime calmly. This is huge progress! We’re not new to dog ownership. We’ve read the books, taken the online courses, joined the virtual programs—but this is something else. Louis brings a calm, deeply respectful, and intuitive approach that has already made a real difference for us. When we say he’s patient, we mean it. He cares about Figgy’s success almost as much as we do, and it never comes across as performative or preachy. He’s not in it to show off—he’s here to guide us. And we’re so, so grateful.”

“Louis is absolutely FANTASTIC!!! Which may be an understatement... When we adopted a young pitbull he had many reactivity issues that we were unprepared for. From the first session, Louis had a system which he broke down and communicated with us to begin training our puppy's bad behavior out of him. In addition to being a true master at his craft, Louis is also amazing at being understanding to new dog owners like myself. Louis quickly corrected many misconceptions that I had as a new dog parent, and clearly communicated how I needed to tailor my mindset to have a well behaved, happy dog. After only two sessions, we were dramatically more comfortable walking our dog and confident in dealing with any reactions. We can't express the extent of our gratitude to Louis for his knowledge, kindness and generosity. He is our family's hero and such an incredible leader. Louis is thorough and follows up with an email review of each lesson and is generous enough to help us between sessions via text when we've been lost, which is often. Thank you so much Louis for everything you've done for us!!!”

Melanie & Pepper

“Run don't walk to book Louis for you dog! Louis is an expert training and provides in depth lessons and training with resources, tips, analysis and feedback. From the consultation session (which is free!) I knew we were off to a great start. I can't recommend his approach to animal behavioral training enough, he has been able to meet my 2 year old Pittie mix where she's at and help us address her leash pulling and reactivity. There are a lot of "so called" dog trainers in Brooklyn but not only are they a total rip off but they don't provide half the attention to detail that he will. Louis is the real deal!”

No two dogs are the same—and neither are the challenges their owners face. That’s why we begin with a 90-minute Initial Training & Behavior Evaluation. Whether you’re dealing with reactivity, laying a solid foundation, or simply want to enjoy training with your dog, this extended session gives us the time to understand your dog’s behavior, clarify your goals, and start hands-on work right away.

Working with us starts with a 90-minute
Initial Training & Behavior Evaluation.

It’s the foundation we build on, whether you’re working through challenges or just ready to train with purpose.

The session takes place in your home—where your dog feels most comfortable and where their everyday behavior naturally shows up. We’ll observe how your dog responds in real life, identify what’s working and what needs attention, and walk you through a step-by-step plan tailored to your dog, your lifestyle, and your goals. Expect to take notes, ask questions, and get to work right away.

Not sure where your dog fits? That’s okay. Most clients come to us unsure of what to book. The Initial Training & Behavior Session is designed to assess, plan, and get started—all in one visit.
